Dramatic Victorian earrings, circa 1870, of cabochon garnets inset with diamond stars, wrapped in gold lover’s knots. The stars are of old mine cut diamonds in the center, surrounded by rose cut diamonds. The garnets display a deep rich red, complemented by bright gold and and antique diamonds. A beautiful example of Victorian jewelry of the period.
