(SOLD) Antique French Victorian Gold and Diamond Flower Bangle
A stunning French Napoleon III gold hinged bangle, circa 1860, focuses on a diamond set flower, flanked by diamond foliate details. In all, 79 diamonds are set in silver, over gold, a melange of old mine cut and antique rose cut diamonds, with one diamond of a later, transitional cut. The diamonds are of good white F/G colors, with a mix of clarities. Distinctively French, the bangle opens on double hinges on the side, snapping securely shut in a box clasp in the rear, reinforced with a safety chain.
This beautiful antique will come with its original monogrammed box of red velvet and ivory silk.
Marked with French maker’s mark, eagle’s head, and boar’s head.
18k gold, silver, diamond.
Dimensions and weight:
● 17 cm (6.70 inches) inside circumference
● 25 mm diameter on the flower
● 18 mm wide
● 40.3 grams
● 2.25 ctw diamond
