Forty-One of a Kind.
In this case, we are confident when we say this: we will never find another chain like this one. Here is a chain comprised of 41 double-ended dog clips joined together — long enough to wrap three times as a necklace. Of course, because each “link” is a double-ended clasp that can be detached, re-attached, this chain can be configured in nearly infinite ways. Shorten the chain, wear as a Y necklace, attach charms along the entire length of the chain if desired, separate the chain into shorter lengths and bracelets. Hang a few of the clasps as a “fringe” and attach charms. The imagination is the limit.
Likely new old stock, the sum is vastly greater than the parts in this case. A lovely, warm patina throughout.
Marked with various unidentified marks.
NOT solid gold; gold-filled; professionally tested to 25% gold content.
