We were poring over a display case of antique jewels when our eyes latched onto this stunning vintage gold and opal bracelet — the unmistakeable work of Brazilian jeweler Haroldo Burle Marx.
Nine panels of gold in the signature Burle Marx finish are bezel set with glowy specimens of opal. The smaller opals are cabochon, the center opal is slightly convex. The panels are hinged, forming a bracelet that is halfway toward a bangle.
We have long admired Burle Marx’s bold, architectural jewels and were delighted to find this piece — gorgeous and so wearable.
Shown on a 6 inch wrist. Safety 8 catch present.
