Antique 19th Century Burmese Ruby and Amethyst Seal Fob Pendant
Showstopper, Dazzler.
This is perhaps one of our favorite seal fobs ever, ever, ever, and we are confident we will never find another.
The main attraction — the incredibly beautiful cushion cut, vivid pinkish-red Burmese rubies that encrust the top surfaces of this fob — even the bail! The rubies are nestled closely together, with just touches of the gold showing. The seal itself is a large amethyst (not engraved) — and can we say we absolutely adore the combination of the purple of the amethyst with the pinkish-red of the rubies?!
Wear this on a period chain long enough so that you can look down to admire those rubies (and yes, you won’t be able to resist).
PS: How perfect for the July babies, who are fortunate enough to have ruby as their birthstone?
