(SOLD) Antique Imperial Russian Chain of a "Thousand" Rings, with "Lucky 8" Clasp
The chain is instantly recognizable as Russian. Four rings of gold form each link, for a total of thousands of rings forming a silken chain. These Russian chains are precious survivors of tumultuous times; this one is likely one half of an original longer chain, with a later Soviet-era stamped end ring. Serendipitously, the chain came to us without a clasp, with open loops at the ends — perfect for completion with the addition of a Luck and Lockets Lucky 8 clasp and charmholder! The curves of the Lucky 8 and the links marry so well. Made with old world craftsmanship, this heirloom piece is luxuriously smooth, definitively weighty, and wider than most chains of this kind. Wear long or doubled, with or without pendants.. Either way, be sure to display the Lucky 8 clasp! Just an incredibly beautiful chain, in a rich yellow gold with rosey tones. Chain is shown here with Lucky 8 Clasp, XL Size, Hammered Finish, 18k yellow gold (Option K). Other options for the Lucky 8 are available. Please contact us with questions.
Bonus: When not wearing this chain, get creative and wear the Lucky 8 clasp and charmholder separately with your other chains!
Marked with Soviet-era hallmark for “583” gold.
