(SOLD) The Deconstructed Series (II): Antique Edwardian Curb Link Long Guard Chain
In the Decontructed Series, classic Victorian and Edwardian long chains are reconfigured for modern versatility. Here, a classic Edwardian long guard chain, in a luxuriously silken curb link, has been divided into 3 layerable chains. Wear one, two, or all three segments for the ultimate in multitasking. Circa 1916.
Two lengths — the 16.25 inch and 18.5 inch chains — are finished on each end with open oval loops, without any clasps attached, ready to receive your Luck and Lockets Lucky 8 Clasps and Charmholders. One length — the 27 inch chain — retains the original swivel dog clip clasp, which can also accommodate charms and pendants. This chain looks marvelous on its own, worn in myriad configurations. Wear the chains individually and layered (as shown), or connect them to each other and looped, or consider connecting to other period chains for a mixed link look. The possibilities are up to your experimentation.
These chains feel wonderful on, with a satisfying weighty density and drape.
Lucky 8 Clasps and Charmholders , Antique Diamond Maltese Cross, and Molten Monogram Pendant shown are not included.
Marked 14k, maker’s mark, and 1916 on the 27 inch chain; unmarked on the 16.25 and 18.5 inch chains.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 16.25, 18.5, and 27 inches long
